ARTISTIC PARTNERS
Meet Montréal based artist, Benoit Tardif!
He's the designer behind all of the original art for our murals, coffee bags, and lots of merch!

Next up, meet Forrest Wozniak. He's the amazing local artist who paints these bad boys!

Forrest builds a team of local helpers and they make Tardif's art come to life.

Alec Soth (rhymes with 'both') is a local, but internationally renowned, photographer, who also happens to be a Dogwood St. Paul regular! One of his photographs is located above a booth at the St. Paul cafe, and the other is a giant backsplash behind the bar at our Northeast cafe.

At our Northeast cafe, you will find local artist Ashley Mary's bright and
beautiful murals in multiple spots throughout the cafe!

The friendly folks over at Studio On Fire in St. Paul (connected to Dogwood St. Paul!) have helped
us produce unique and exciting packaging for several years now. Most recently, SOF Creative Manager, Sam, used Tardif's original art and her own savvy design skills to produce our current coffee bags and corresponding stickers.

The painting below is by local artist, Dexa Franks, and was painted in June of 2020. It started outside at Dogwood East Lake. The below description is from Dexa:
"These portraits are intended to elevate woman of color and dismantle a racial structure that promotes white standards of beauty, white idealization and overrepresentation in portraiture."

During the summer of 2020, multiple murals were installed outside of Dogwood East Lake & Northeast. Then, in November of 2021, all of the murals were donated to Memorialize the Movement
for future permanent display.
From their website, "Memorialize the Movement is an ongoing initiative to collect and preserve the plywood art that was created in response to the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25th, 2020. Our goal is to create a safe and inclusive permanent space for people to reflect on the events that occurred during the summer of 2020 and ensure that we continue to help shed light on this Civil Rights movement through the murals."
Left installment by Hillside Murals. Right installment from Leviticus Tattoo.
Both installments by Know Peace Murals.

Aesthetic Apparatus (better pictures coming soon!). To quote the owner and self-proclaimed caption of the ship, Michael Byzewski: "What is Aesthetic Apparatus? A graphic design studio? Yap! An illustration studio? Absolutely. A print making studio? Yes, that too. A horse training facility? Probably not. For over 15 years I’ve done work for everyone from broke local bands to international advertising firms creating impactful, iconic images for them and everyone in between."
Collage below located at Dogwood East Lake! Once upon a time, we also had a killer
AA collage at our Uptown cafe! RIP Calhoun Square location!

Meet Regan Golden! Local artist, MCAD Professor, and Anderson family neighbor! She recently installed a new giant mural inside our Northeast cafe. With many shapes, colors, and cut-outs -- it's a must see!
